I ventured into writing with the film 'Naked', starring Kalki Koechlin and myself, which I produced as well. The film takes a swipe at the shallowness of entertainment journalism while also landing a blow for a better understanding of the forms of violence against women which includes cyber-crime as well. The film was nominated for Filmfare.
After 'Naked', I continued onto writing and producing 'Fool for Love' and 'How about a kiss' under my own production banner - SCUD.
'Fool for Love', was a tribute to playwright Sam Shepard, who has inspired me in numerous ways. It was released in 2019 and has won many accolades including making it to Nice Film Festival and New York Indian International film Festival.
This year “How About a Kiss” was released on Zee5, which I wrote inspired from one of my personal experiences from college. The film has a whooping view count of 50 million as per their records.
